Curt Himmelberger
Artistic Director
The vision of Beacon Theatre productions is "spotlighting critical moments of the past to show the way to a better future." I knew I needed to get involved with this theatre company when I read that and saw their productions that put this vision into practice. I believe that the world needs Beacon Theatre Productions now more than ever before.
In 2021, schools across the country are banning teachings about racism, the world has been described as "the age of misinformation," and history seems to be repeating itself in local, national, and global current events. I believe we need to learn about the past for a better future. I believe theater is a powerful tool that can change society. And I truly believe Beacon Theatre Productions can change the world.
I am honored to receive the baton from Georgina Bard who has led this wonderful theatre company for the past ten years. I have already heard countless stories about the amazing group of people who have supported the journey of the theatre so far. I hope each of you continues to be part of this next chapter.
